WORK: New book The Smile Stealers examines dentistry down the ages

If you are squeamish about dentists and teeth in general, then look away now, for featured here is a new book from Thames & Hudson which examines the “fine and foul art of dentistry”. Featuring texts from medical historian Richard Barnett alongside fascinating artworks, medical illustrations and artefacts from the Wellcome Collection’s archive, the beautifully designed book is the third in a series from the publishers on medical history. The first two titles were The Sick Rose, which examines disease and Crucial Interventions, on 19th century surgery. All make for delightful bedtime reading.
