WORK: First ad for M&S from Valenstein & Fatt

Valenstein & Fatt (aka Grey London) has released its first work for Marks & Spencer since picking up the account last year. Centred on the tagline ‘Spend It Well’, the spot aims to encourage us to think about what’s important in our lives and chuck out things that get in the way of this, including phones at the dinner table, disappointing friends and uncomfortable knickers. The vibe is a little reminiscent of This Girl Can in its inspirational messaging, though has a dollop of extra glamour and certainly strikes a very different note to the M&S’s recent ad offerings.
